Second Vice Minister pays a visit to Bear Better

Second Vice Minister Sangdae Choi paid a visit to Bear Better to hear difficulties of hiring and working with the disabled and to give encouragement. The company started with 5 developmental disorders in 2012 and the number has grown to 240. They engage in various fields of work including printing, bakery, coffee and floriculture and generate yearly 10 billion won ($7.6 million) sales a year. Last year, the government imposed around $600 million handicapped employment levy to 9,039 companies that tells us that hiring the disabled is not easy. This year, the government has increased the volume of the disabled employment budget alongside support so that more companies can participate. BRAVO Beaver is a good example of disabled employment: Bear Better manages the company and 11 investors including Korea Investment & Securities made investment. <PowerKorea>
