Talking of automated car wash in South Korea, Come In Wash takes the center of the table among drivers. Seeing the business growing bullet-fast in such a short period of time nationwide, the company recently opened its flagship store in Ganganm, Seoul, June 10 as a bold move for a second leap forward. Drivers, who already know the brand, lined up from early morning to late night in this commercial district on the opening day and the store had to supply the run-out water from the city to meet the demand.

“Not only the 200 car wash machines we’ve sold that has brought this nationwide success but also our all-inclusive package that covers from licensing and installation to management support and prompt maintenance services” points out Sukwon Yang, CEO of Come In Wash.

Unlike other stores, one kiosk at the flagship store in Gangnam runs 3 bays to wash 3 cars at once. The kiosk shows information on waiting time and which bay the driver in next line can use. Then the LED light on the floor guides the driver, wether sedan or mini bus, through the way. The 3 automated no-touch no-brush machines send high pressed water to wash off the dust every corner of the car through free-alkali-neutral-snow foam and under car wash at 50°C, and finish the whole process with immaculate drying.

The technologies of Come In Wash are recognized through winning a number of highly acclaimed prizes including a SMEs and Startups Minister’s prize in 2021 and a National Assembly prize for technology innovation in 2020. The company obtained ISO9001 and ISO14001, an international standard from American ORIAN, a Venture Enterprise from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and an environment certificate from the Ministry of Environment for its detergents used.

In order to make pay-and-go easy, Come In Wash runs its own app on which 90% drivers are using it since the app offers events and promotions. While the app makes car wash easy, two factories of Come In Wash introduce more advanced automated washing machines and services.

“When it comes to automated car washing, I can proudly say we are the best. When it comes to staff welfare, I can also proudly say we are second to none because that’s what drives us our business forward” emphasizes Yang.

As of June 2022, you can find 100 Come In Wash stores nationwide including Seoul, Incheon, Busan and Ulsan. Taking the momentum of this roller coaster growing, the company recently opened an office in LA to expand its business network globally.

“As far as I know there is no 24/7 automated car wash in the world except South Korea. I have already observed that buyers from overseas get wowed by the 24/7 Come In Wash system and they are offering a collaboration or a deal. And I and my team are very much encouraged to go global” says Yang in confidence.

Alongside this global ambitions, Come In Wash targets to run 1,800 washers nationwide by 2025. <PowerKorea>
