Moon pays his last respect at April 19th National Cemetery

President Moon paid his last respect at April 19th National Cemetery on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the April Revolution. Moon and his high officials and the heads of the related organizations lined up and laid flowers and burned incense on the day. In his message on his social media account, Moon said “The April Revolution proved that the people are the owner of the nation and it ignited the spark to the Bu-Ma Democratic Protests, the May 18th Democratic Movement, and the Candlelight Demonstrations. Democracy grows by people’s participation and it will protect us from oppression, discrimination and abuse of power when we practice it in politics, economy and our every day life.”

Moon invites Blue House correspondents

Moon invited Blue House correspondents to a meeting on April 25 at Nogjiwon Blue House. It was organized for the canceled New Year’s press conference due to proliferation of omicron and for his impending retirement.

Showing his gratitude to their hard work for the last 5 years, Moon said “The government and reporters have different roles but they are the same in terms of aboarding the same boat that sails towards glory of the nation. From looking back to now, I think in broad terms we together have worked hard in cooperation and made contributions to raising our global status for the last 5 years.” When asked about his plan after retirement, Moon said that he would like to lead a quiet life without doing any activities that attract attention; instead he just wanted to go where he wanted to go and eat what he wanted to eat like normal people do. <PowerKorea>
