South Korean Foreign Affairs Minister Euiyong Chung attended the reception to mark 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between two countries on Friday April 29 at JW Marriott, Seocho District, Seoul. 

Tanzaian Foreign Minister Mulamula was invited to visit South Korea from 25 to 30 April and Chung and Mulamula had an official meeting on Tuesday April 26 over a luncheon. 

The two countries tied the diplomatic relations April 30, 1992. National Day of Tanzania was established April 26, 1964, the union day of Zanzibar and Tanganyika to form Tanzania. 

In his speech, Chung congratulated 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 58th anniversary of National Day and hoped expanded friendship between the two countries. 

He pointed out continuous cooperation in trade, infra, development and people to people exchange and wished to continue the cooperation. He also praised Tanzania’s hard work to bring peace and democracy and said that South Korea would share experience with Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2025. 

In her speech, Mulamula delivered a message of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and expected deepened cooperation on infra, ICT, education and agriculture. She also said that Tanzania supports permanent denuke on the Korean Peninsula.
