March 15 this year, Vichaeon signed a memorandum of understanding with JWBio at its head office. JWBio has low temperature nano extraction techniques and Vichaeon is to use this opportunity to expand its scope to scalp care. An official of JWBio says that they could extract active ingredients into nano meter molecule size from active hydrogen, marine plants, medicinal herbs and grains. JWBio currently is manufacturing JW shampoo and JW tonic.
JWBio CEO Youngho Park obtained a master's degree in food engineering from Kyungpook National University and a doctoral degree from U.S. Texas A&M University. He has devoted last 17 years to researches on hair loss. JWBio has manufacturing facilities and a lab in Yeongcheon City North Gyeongsang Province. The company listed its name in the Export Promising Enterprises 2015 and its products are being exported to 10 countries including Germany, Poland, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore and the US. Park says "Supply of nutritions directly into pores of scalp helps blood circulation which then prevents hair loss. We extract theses nutritions from marine products such as seaweed and shell fish and apply into our products through continuous researches on biochemical mechanism and clinical tests. We expect the MOU with Vichaeon will widen approachability to various fields for cooperation by making most of our research and manufacturing abilities and Vichaeon's distribution knowhow and networks."
One month before the MOU, Vichaeon signed a business agreement with the Misarang Medical Welfare Association to more systematically make donations to people in need. Founded by pastor Heeduk Yu, the association has around 20,000 members and around 950 partner hospitals and clinics and organizations. In return of donations, the association is to promote health gadgets of Vichaeon. Vichaeon means 'light comes through'.
