A survey carried out on 542 aged between 20 and 69 in the year 2021 by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp showed that 72.5% answered that they had interest in vegan of which 56% answered they had vegetable diet more than once. When questioned the reason, 36.7% pointed out loosing weight and 35.3% being healthy. This figure partly, if not all, ascribes to a recent food trend that increasing number of consumers are attracted by CMR (Convenient Meal Replacement) on vegetable-base healthy food.
