Taebaek Mountain in Gwangwon Province is 1,567 meter high and on valleys of the mountain is Taebaek City built on a basin plateau 650 meter above sea. Thanks to its high location, the air is clean and food, especially vegetables, boast high quality. As South Koreans can afford more than ever before, eating healthy is rapidly settling down as a new lifestyle. Eating healthy often means eating more fresh vegetables grown and harvested in clean regions. 

Taebaek Sanche Village, an agricultural corporation, in Taebaek City knows this very well and is making most of its location advantage to grow, harvest and supply fresh vegetables nationwide. 

"We grow various kinds of vegetables like groundsel, thistle, garlic leaves, goatsbeard and cow parsnip in clean environment. We also run our own brand 'Sanchega' themed on vegetable dumpling, potato pie and cheese ball. The taste of our raw vegetables or branded food 'Sanchega' gave excellent taste not because we have some making secrets but because the ingredients used here are naturally fresh. They give tender and deep taste with natural mm~~ smell!" explains Geumran Oh, CEO of Taebaek Sanche Village.

Sanchega Vegetable Dumpling
The vegetable dumpling specially is the flagship product of Taebaek Sanche Village as it is made of thistle, cow parsnip and goatsbeard mixed with chilli and pickles. The dumpling skin is made of potato starch but not flour. Sanchega vegetable dumpling attracted a great attention especially from vegans at the Vegenomics Fair Vegan Festa held at SETEC, Seoul, February. It was also aired on Hometown Report after which the company received an explosive number of inquiries for purchase. It is now available online or at offline stores Sangsaeng Sanghoe in Angukdong, Seoul and the Gangwon Jinpoom Center, Gangnam District, Seoul. 

Sanchega Potato Ongsimi and Cheese Ball
Alongside the vegetable dumpling, Sanchega potato ongsimi and cheese ball are the two best sellers. They are both enlivened with the original taste of potato with natural vegetable flavors and tender chewiness. These two also are made of fresh vegetables in the region and the mozzarella is as natural as nature provides.

The Oh couple settled down in Taebaek City in 2013. They started growing local vegetables by borrowing other's land until they bought a 16,528 square meter slopping field in 2014. In order to meet the surging orders, the couple plan to extend the factory with a better automated system by pouring $1.6 million next year.
