It is a truth that many private academies in South Korea are driven by students wanting to get into prestigious schools and universities while neglecting one's own aptitude. However, some still value one's aptitude and talent more than academic record and Hong's Music is one of them. 

Nestled in Jung District Busan, Hong's Music recently has proved its brand recognition by winning the 2022 Brilliant People & Brand Awards for individuality-driven customized teaching programs. From vocal and instruments to composing, staging and recording, Hong's Music is covering various needs and wants of students whether it is about hobby or exam regardless all age groups. 

"It is very important for us teachers to strengthen pros of a student and to improve cons. Pros can be their distinctive charm one day while cons will have already been stabilized by that time. Unlike in the past, individuality plays better to attract attention nowadays. A vocal, for example, is better be unique than just singing well. We cover almost all genres of music whether it is r&b, hiphop, ballad or gospel through which we find their hidden charm" says Unjee Hong, Director of Hong's Music. 

She also points out importance of versatility instead of just practicing one or two songs that are used for exams. The problem doing this is that even after they got into the school they wanted they are likely to have no idea how to do other songs. And the result probably will be having a diploma at best without substantial career path afterwards. For this reason, teachers at Hong's Music spend more time on basic skills. And this might be the reason that Hong's Music is often quoted as the cradle of vocal training in Busan. 

Hong has 11 years of experience in vocal training and performed as a guest vocalist numerous times. As a woman of good heart, she is running scholarship for students from not well to do families.
