Moon encourages graduates of Korea Military Academy

President Moon attended the graduation ceremony of the 57th graduates of Korea Military Academy on February 28. Encouraging the 477 graduates, he asked them to do their duty firm and proper to defend the nation. Moon is the first president to have attended graduation ceremonies of all five military academies in the nation during his term. In his congratulatory speech, he emphasized coming era of South Korea's competency in AI-driven drone spy and battle ability alongside cutting edge personal bullet-proof helmet and vest and latest guns which is being realized through Army Tiger 4.0 and Warrior Platform. Moon especially pointed out selflessness and bravery of lieutenant Sungdo Cha who covered a grenade to protect his platoon and captain Chuntae Park who lost his life on saving a scout who stepped on a mine, paying respect to them, saying that true comradeship comes from taking care of each other. 

Moon invites foreign investors to Blue House

President Moon invited foreign investors to the Blue House on February 17 to show his thanks and encouragement. 24 companies were invited on the day including PuPont Korea, Pfizer Korea and Valeo CDA Korea. Moon pointed out that around 16,000 foreign companies were estimated to be investing in South Korea and the investment volume had increased by 34% for the last 5 years with record high $30 billion last year. The government has deregulated a total of 22 investment obstacles alongside special exemptions and expanded tax benefit for semiconductor, battery and vaccine. Pfizer Korea CEO Dongwook Oh pointed out Moon's visit the to US and meeting with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla which was the result of Pfizer Korea now and asked more open support for R&D. Other participants also asked Moon expanded support for investment, cooperation and training. <PowerKorea>
