Samsung and KEPCO work together for SmartThings Energy
Samsung and KEPCO have joined hands to strengthen SmartThings Energy. SmartThings Energy monitors home appliances' energy consumption in real time and automatically controls air conditioner, for example, to run power saving mode if it thinks more energy efficient. An official said that SmartThings Energy can save up to 21% energy consumption on home appliances. Around 15,000 Samsung SmartThings Home households are to be installed with KEPCO's AMI for the operation. Samsung and KEPCO target to increase the affected households to 3 million. <PowerKorea>
