South Korean companies and organizations make humanitarian aid for Ukraine

Samsung announced that they will donate $6 million worth money and goods to Red Cross Ukraine while SK announced to send an aid through SK ie technology Poland. 

Led by the two conglomerates, KTB Investment & Securities announced that they have donated 130 million won ($105,000) collective money to UNHCR Korea. The fund was raised by six affiliates of the company. 

The Korean Nurses Association and its 17 branches nationwide raised 20 million won ($16,214), made a visit to Ukrainian Embassy in Seoul and delivered the fund alongside a warm and encouraging letter. Association president Geonglim Shin said that the International Council of Nurses has urged 130 nurse associations in the world to participate in Ukraine aid rally and the Korean Nurses Association was duly and willing responding to the appeal. The Ukrainian Embassy in Seoul is running a Korean won bank account and has accumulated 880 million won ($713,706) so far for an aid. 

The Korean Paralympics team at Beijing paid a visit to the Ukrainian Paralympics team and delivered supportive messages alongside food and quarantine goods. 

World leaders are condemning Russia's unjustifiable war in Ukraine and making strong voices to stop the war. The National Council of Churches in Korea, Catholic Church in Korea and Buddhist leaders in Korea also voice together to stop the war and bring peace. They are holding meetings and services wishing for peace and are delivering messages of peace to the world. 

Meanwhile, trade to Russia is being cut off and related companies and businesses are in a halt. South Korea has received 302 cases of difficulty from 204 companies since the war broke out. As a measure, KOTRA is running temporary goods storages for logistics companies alongside finding alternative buyers of the goods and detours. South Korean government announced to inject 2 trillion won ($1.6 billion) monetary support for affected companies and businesses. <PowerKorea>
