Smart factory is spreading fast for efficiency and energy saving. As South Korea's manufacturing industry shares 30% of its GDP, the government has working on upgrading the existing factories to smart operation systems.

[SIZL]
SIZL is a South Korean smart factory solutions company. It boasts capability of gathering and analysing data on manufacturing and processing from which a customized smart factory solution is designed, built and installed.

"Smart factory is no longer an option but a must especially for small and medium manufacturers in this time of highly competitive global market. A smart factory system improves flow of processing, speed, precision, output, cost saving and many more. If other smart factory solutions companies have focused on convenience and automation so far, SIZL has focused on maximum efficiency and output by minimum input" says Jiheon Lee, CEO of SIZL..

Most manufacturing factories are related to pressing, welding and CNC to make products. A smart factory makes this each and difference process with precision, finds faults and brings up solutions, and improves or customizes the system within 2 to 3 weeks when problems occur.

"The system monitors the whole manufacturing process in real time with help of data gathering and analysis. Our job as a smart factory solutions company is to design and install each different system to each different need and want so that our clients can see the maximum results with minium efforts."

Smart factory in fact is not a recent brainchild. Germany introduced it in 2010 around which South Korea also moved fast to learn and bring the system. The problem was that most smart factory systems were research-based rather than field-based. In other words, developers need to understand how the process is actually done in the factory in order to bring a customized solution. The expert team of developers at SIZL knew this very well and toured the field nationwide for more than 1 year before launching a mapping out of a system.

"We already signed a deal with 28 client companies in 2020 and 89 more last year. In other words, our expertise in the field is being recognized and we are very proud of this. We will keep working on deals, partnership and collaboration while carrying on research and development as passionate as before" says Lee. <PowerKorea>
