Samsung promoted The Frame TV at COEX Winter Gallery 2021 held 23 to 31 December last year. Alongside The Frame TV, the electronic giant exhibited digital works on The Serif and The Sero and joined selling digital works issued as NFT. Samsung displayed 50 works of 24 famous digital artists including Seheon Lee, Lip Sung, Soheon Moon and Sehee Jang. The Frame TV is designed to watch TV but also to display an art work on the screen when not watching TV. Samsung Electronics image display division head Ilgyeong Sung said that the Samsung lifestyle TV lines would function as digital canvases to meet fast rising demand for NFT art works. Samsung has formed partnership with NFT industry officials since 2017.

Samsung joins hands with Citi Field

Samsung has become an official partner of Citi Field, the home stadium of The New York Mets. Citi Field was opened in 2009 with capacity to accommodate 42,000 baseball fans. It is being remodeled at the moment with planned reopening in spring 2023. Samsung is to install the main display and a multimedia system that controls around 1,300 displays around the stadium. The main display is 372 square meter big LED screen with 4K(3840x2160) resolution while the IPTV-based control system delivers details of a live match with every corner of the stadium. Prior to this, Samsung installed the same or similar systems in LA SoFi, Las Vegas Alligiant, San Francisco Chase Center and Atlanta State Farm Arena. Citi Field vice president Jeff Deline said that it was such a pleasure to work with Samsung and this world’s best company’s digital display solution would bring forth more advanced experience to baseball fans. <PowerKorea>
