KOTRA promotes K-Food & Beauty in Japan

Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) rolled up sleeve to promote 500 products of 80 consumer goods companies at the K-Food & Beauty in Tokyo and Nagoya organized in link with the 2021 Korea Sales Festa held from 1 to 15 November. KOTRA used most of social media to target young generation aged 10s to 30s, who get the information of what is going on now mainly through social media, according to a Japanese market research firm NTT DoCoMo. KOTRA had online promotion at Rakuten, Amazon and Koreaju, and offline promotion at MARUI, a large shopping mall frequently visited by young Japanese. The promotion included a variety of contents such as live broadcasting, giveaway event on social media and K-Wave exhibitions. KOTRA has been supporting small and medium enterprises through on-screen B2B consulting and digital contents since the pandemic. KOTRA Japan division head Oiyoung Jeong said “It is important to use social media to earn hearts of young consumers. KOTRA will strengthen cooperation with local distribution companies so that the locals can more easily get Korean products at their hands.” 

 

KOTRA holds GP Anhui 2021

KOTRA held the GP Anhui 2021 in Anhui, China, from 19 to 22 November to help Korean materials, parts and equipment companies enter the local market. Anhui is rising fast as a new manufacturing hub in China. KOTRA organized face-to-face trade deals between participated Korean companies and 20 local companies including BOE, Visionox, NIO and JAC. South Korea’s export volume of electronic goods, semiconductor and display equipment to Anhui jumped by 39% on previous year as of 2020 (Source: Anhui Customs) and South Korea became the 4th largest trader of the province. KOTRA plans to provide support until the supply chain of South Korean companies being stabilized in the region. KOTRA regional division head Changpeo Hong said “Anhui ranked 10th economy in China in 2021 and it is growing fast. We sensed that the eastern coastline industry and commerce center is moving to inland China and KOTRA will also move fast to build supply chains of Korean products and businesses to the region.” <PowerKorea>
