[Is Pandemic Over?]

Is the pandemic over? Many would say it is ongoing. Russia, Israel, Germany and Singapore are some of the countries that started ‘With Corona’ earlier than other countries but newly confirmed cases are explosively increasing. South Korean also recently has joined the boat with 76.6% of second shot completion but the confirmed cases are rather lingering or slightly increasing. In this respect, we might have to say that the pandemic is still ongoing and quarantine rules, therefore, are still strictly to follow.

[Zest]

Zest is a sanitizing sprayer made by a South Korean quarantine equipment company Particle. It is innovative in terms of its smaller size, lighter weight and shorter charging. The battery and the chemicals included weigh only 2.3kg. It lasts longer and it reduces amount of chemicals used by fine spraying technology. 750ml chemicals take about 20 mins to be used all while 3 to 5 liter chemicals of similar products take 15 mins. If the existing size of particles used in similar products is 100§, which is too heavy to spread, the Zest’s ultrafine particles of around 5~20§ spread farther and wider with help of 2000 rpm per minute. “The ultrafine particles travel as far as 7 meters, reach every nook and cranny, and stay longer in the air” emphasizes Duhun Choi, CEO of Particle. Zest also is easy to use: the battery is detachable and portable. You can also use Milwaukee battery instead for immediate compatibility.

[Awards]

Particle won the Innovative Product Challenge of the Chungnam Creative Economy Center, the President Prize of the Korea SMEs and Startup Agency, and the Excellent Pandemic Overcoming Enterprise from the Korea SMEs and Startup Agency. Zest is being used in KORAIL, Seocho District Office, Korea Expressway Corporation, and Incheon International Airport. Choi says that ‘Zest Mini’ is soon to release for home and small space use.
