Changwon City has rolled up sleeves to promote one of its specialties Changwon Dangam (sweet persimmon). Launching the promotion team on November 2, the city sent 4 tons of locally grown sweet persimmons to Goyang, Yongin and Suwon cities in the capital region. The promotion is followed by the city’s first promotional crop ‘watermelon’ last May and the event this time was held in accordance with the three cities and Changwon that are expected to be ‘special cities’ as of January 13, 2022. 

 

Huh listens to citizens

Changwon City Mayor Sungmoo Huh invites residents of Hapseong Il-dong at a meeting room in the city hall on September 30 to congratulate winning the remodeling project of the city for the village. Huh listened attentively to opinions of residents and shared improvements. Huh emphasized that the remodeling project in the village would be a role model for other villages to follow and we should work together to create a better city through this kind of beneficial projects. 

 

Changwon gives out free books to newly married

Changwon City is to give out a choice of free book to the newly married among four books: 1) <Fair Play Project> themed on gender equality 2) <Between You and Me> on communication 3) <Miracle of Parenting> on infant care tips 4) <How to Say> on childbirth and rearing. To receive a free book, you must be a Changwon citizen. Mayor Huh said that the city hoped to help the newly married take care of their relationship more communicative and of their baby better cared. The city will also award those who wrote excellent essays after reading the chosen books. (PowerKorea)
