As part of this, KOTRA is encouraging companies not to use disposable cups in the company as the first step. It will create an effect of reducing 4.16 tons of carbon emission and 7,571 tons of water waste but planting 1,515 trees. Also encouraged are obtaining ISO 14001 by the end of the year alongside joining the K-RE100 (use of 100% renewable energy by 2050). Other notable campaigns include: 1 Green A Day, carbon point system and metaverse KOTRA ESG action hall. KOTRA Chairman Jeongyeol Yoo emphasized that ESG is no more an option but a must so KOTRA would provide necessary support in accordance.
