[Rising Golf Population]
While golf has become sports for all in advanced countries, South Korea is observing a fast increase in the number of people playing golf recently. Clubs and golf ranges big or small are springing up like mushrooms after a rain. While professional Korean players are making their presence in the international fields, more and more people are spending their leisure time or a business talk lounging around the course.

[Goseong As A Hub of Youth Golf]
Goseong County, South Gyeongsang Province, held the 7th National Middle and High School Golf Competition at the Goseong Nobel Country Club where the golf event of the 50th National Junior Sports Festival from August 9 to 10 also took place. During the seasonal winter training, 26 youth golf players from 6 teams trained their skills and spirit in the county and as a result, Goseong is rising fast as a hub of youth golf. Behind this fast growing is the passion of Wookchoon Kim, President of the Gyeongnam Golf Association. Serving the president for 7 consecutive years, Kim has been donating a golf fund to golf players of Goseong High School and Goseong Donghae Middle School without others knowing for many years.

[Association]
The Gyeongnam Golf Association was established in 1986 and has played a leading role in promoting golf in the province. The members of the association share the same values about the golf: golf is a sport of honor, decorum and respect. Around 5 million people are estimated to be playing the golf in South Korea as of 2021, 1/8 of the whole population. But teaching golf is as important as playing golf. This is because wrong ways of teaching can lead novice golfers to bad habits which is hard to change once settled. So the association is sharing a considerable part of its energy to make it right alongside many promotional events.

[Hwarim Tech]
Hwarim Tech is the company Kim owns. The company boasts 30 years of expertise in base metal and is working in partnership of aluminium primary smelters and secondary smelters in the world. It uses HS:7602.00 and HD:2620.40 as the original materials to produce sow and ingot base metal. Kim ran a company in UAE and Qatar, flew back home and established Hwarim Tech in 2019. Within a year, the company exported $2.15 million and received the $1 Million Export Tower followed by the $3 Million Export Tower the next year. The main export product of the company is sow and ingot to 7 countries including Germany, China and the Middle East. It also is supplied to a number of large companies in South Korea. In accordance with global carbon neutrality plans, the company is turning its smelting factory to eco-friendly at the moment. (PowerKorea)
