[Robot]
In the movie I, Robot (2004), robots serve humans and do things such as cooking and taking care of children. Robot makers say that robots will benefit our lives in the future and we might not be able to live without their assistance. Whether it will turn out as it is said, people’s interest in robots only seems to grow. Despite the pandemic, 500,000 people have visited the Masan Robot Land so far. Instead of fearing robots, it might be better for us to advance robot engineering and functions that can benefit our lives in the future.

[Magenta Painter I and Magenta Painter II]
South Korean robot engineering company Magenta Robotics focuses on robots that carry out dangerous jobs instead of humans. The technologies that enable this are robot manufacturing system, deep learning-driven SW motion simulation, commercial robotic arms application and rule processing-based engine application. The company set sail with its first project of making a dish washer robot supported by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute and expanded its scope to AI painting robot, ultrasonic diagnosis robot, massage robot and chore robot. The painting robot especially has become the core part and the company introduced the car painting cooperative robot Magenta Painter I and the manless driving painting robot Magenta Painter II. The company also is carrying on couple of government projects which are industrial measurement hardware and industrial camera. Magenta Robotics has obtained 2 program copyrights, 2 trademarks, 4 patents, ISO 9000:2015, Affiliated Research Center Certificate, Venture Certificate, and Excellent Employment Enterprise of Daejeon.

[MAVIZ and MAVIX]
MAVIZ is the Magenta Robotics’ robot control and management software platform and MAVIX is the high performance image processing platform. MAVIZ carries on controlling, monitoring, robot interface and simulation, motion data building and organizing. Users can use a 3D marker to control, create optimized channels with the simulation, and apply the results to a variety of kinds of robots. MAVIX is a computer that cognizes individuals and uses the MVIDIA TX2-based 1Tera flops high velocity parallel processing. It is loaded with the high cognition module and rule processing-based engine METAMIND and is applied with deep learning technology that learns parts and individuals. The multiproduct cognition technology enables the DNN-based multiproduct individual cognition while the point cloud-based map building uses radar and camera to build in real time. The VR/AR real time remote control uses leap motion to sense the movement of the hands and send it to the robot.

[PIRO-ZERO]
PIRO-ZERO is the company’s robot massage platform. This multi-joints robot arm uses ultrasonic waves, thermotherapy, vibration, low frequency and high frequency to ease tired muscles. It is function and customization friendly and the users can use a tablet or a smartphone to point the desired massage part and adjust the strength. It also gathers and analyzes the information of the body type and frame. UI is upgraded regularly and the customized therapy realizes optimized result according to the user’s mood and conditions of the day. PIRO-ZERO is expected to benefit people in health care centers, sports centers, rehabilitation facilities and convalescent hospitals in 2 to 3 years. “It is our goal to make robots that make our life better, convenient and hassle free and I and my excellent team will keep carrying on our passionate research and development” says Kiheon Gwon, CEO of Magenta Robotics.
