(PowerKorea) Hyundai Motor joined hands with Air Products, an industrial gas manufacturer and seller, to build hydrogen infrastructure. The two parties signed a MOU on September 9 at the headquarters of Air Products and the MOU includes 1) turning industrial gas delivery vehicle to hydrogen vehicle 2) development of hydrogen special vehicle 3) support for hydrogen truck development and supply 4) supply of liquid hydrogen charging stations. Hyundai Motor’s operation division head Wonha Yu said “We are pleased to work with Air Products and we expect that the cooperation will lay a foundation to activate hydrogen value chain.” 

Hyundai Motor’s IONIQ 5 wins gold at 2021 IDEA Design Award

Hyundai Motor’s electric vehicle IONIQ 5 won the gold medal at the 2021 IDEA Design Award in the category of automotive and transportation, announced on September 22. Also won the finalists in the category of digital interaction were ‘Hyundai bluelink app’ and ‘Genesis infortainment system. Prior to this, the company’s concept car ’45’ won the bronze medal at the same award last year. The 45 is a glimpse of IONIQ 5 which is applied with the parametric pixel identity. The bluelink app in particular won a number of other prizes including the 2021 iF Design Award and the 2021 Red Dot Design Award while the Genesis infortainment system won the 2021 iF Design Award which proved its design as well as eco-friendly technologies.
