(PowerKorea) The Korea Aroma Design Specialty Association set sail to foster aroma therapists and to promote its excellent effect to the people. The association runs three programs: psychology class, craft class and hobby class that help members ease their troubled mind and set up their own business, if they want, through well organized consulting and support. The classes lead to certificates and the one day class is taken place time to time for busy people who have interest.

Both psychology class and craft class are designed not only to teach techniques but also to heal mental wounds. As more and more people live with pets, pet classes are also run. The aroma essential oil used in the classes helps both attendees and their pet psychologically and they can have a healing time together through effective programs.

Haein Seo, President of the Korea Aroma Design Specialty Association, stepped into aroma for her baby who suffered from allergies which lasted until her adolescence. At first, she paid attention to natural soaps and skincare products but turned her eye to natural aroma for psychological ease. This was because she observed that aroma helped adolescent boys and girls docile and communicative. Aroma essential oil, in particular, helped them improve symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, distraction, psychological instability and depression. This eventually led her to be an aroma counseling psychologist.

The materials used in the programs at the association include scent and psychology cards that measure one’s wisdom, sentiment and color preference. The scent is a good material to turn inner energy positively through purifying negative energy and it can be used as fragrance or diffuser according to its need.

The ‘aromatherapy wisdom insight cards’ are especially developed by Seo after years of study and practice. The 50 cards connect essence of plant energy and human psychology. The image on each card is drawn by an artist who worked with Seo through tens of meetings and understanding. The cards can be self-used with the manual provided.

Scent is the strongest sense of human according to a research of Rockefeller University US. The research shows that human remembers their feeling of things by touch as 1%, hearing 2%, visual 5%, taste 15% and smell 35%. The research also shows that 75% of the feelings we have in a day are generated by smell. In other words, good smells give good memories and good memories affect our body and mind positively.

Currently, the association runs 4 branches and unsparingly provides its accumulated materials and experiences to members who especially wish to start their own business. Apart from leading the association, Seo is running Maumjiki Jamin to reinforce psychological healing of people.
