(PowerKorea) Debbie Meyer GreenBags and GreenBoxes are creating a sensation in South Korea as in the world. Over 50,000 people have repurchased the bags and boxes in just one home shopping channel and more than 150,000 favorable comments have been tailed up.

In September 1999, a woman called Debbie Meyer formed Housewares America, Inc. and launched her first invention, the Debbie Meyer CakeCutters on TV which is still sold worldwide. In 2005, she launched Debbie Meyer GreenBags and she has set sales records with these products on shopping networks worldwide and at retail. Over one billion of it has been sold in the US and internationally and this massive success led to introducing Debbie Meyer GreenBoxes. Behind this great success lies her philosophy ‘reduce food waste, save money and make life easier’.

What makes theses food containers different from similar products? The answer is at the materials of the containers: natural zeolite and minerals. All fruits and vegetables, for instance, re-absorb ethylene gas emitted during the natural ripening process after harvesting and it accelerates withering. The natural zeolite and minerals of the containers effectively get hold of this ethylene gas to keep the freshness of fruits and vegetables longer. This is not only good for food but also reducing food waste and protecting environment.

The world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company SGS headquartered in Switzerland reports that the containers have kept freshness of paprika, celery, peach, grape, onion and lettuce even after 21 days; thus applauded as ’21 days of miracle’. At a bacterial experiment, around 300 staphylococcus and salmonella were found in the containers while around 1,000 of them in other similar containers.

In South Korea, Katie Yoo, CEO of S2 Glotrade, started selling the containers as a bundle Debbie Meyer GreenBags & GreenBoxes from 2017. After 3 years of launching, Debbie Meyer yet again proved its success in a land of the Far East by winning the Korea Value Management Award for two years in a row in 2020 and 2021 in the daily necessities category.

“Debbie Meyer‘s philosophy ‘reduce food waste, save money and make life easier’ well suits the philosophy of S2 Glotrade. In accordance with global awareness on environmental pollutions, S2 Glotrade will spread various disposable items and food waste reducing campaigns alongside helping people in need” says Yoo.

Debbie Meyer has been featured in Fox & friends, CNBC, The View, Investor’s Business Daily, The Dr.OZ Show, The Wall Street Journal, and The Dallas Morning News.
