¡ã Insight / CEO Lawyer Sohn Ik-gon

(PowerKorea) Law firm Insight is nestled around Gwanghwamun, Jung District, Seoul. Lawyers at Insight have extensive experience at large law firms, accounting firms and companies and they gathered together with the motto ‘the law firm for your best vision’ under the banner of Insight.

“In the pool of Korean legal market where false and exaggerated advertisements are luring innocent clients, Insight set sail with ‘competence’ and ‘trust’ as top priorities. The reason we chose the word insight is because we only point out the core of the conflict and bring the best solution possible. The 5 of our highly experienced lawyers have malted more than 10 years of experience in each field and we are determined to play companion of our client rather than service provider” says Sohn Ik-gon, CEO lawyer of Insight.

The team Insight is consisted of Noh Jun-chul, Lee Gyeong-yoon, Lee Hong-sup and Jo Nak-won under the leadership of Sohn and they have built efficient cooperation network with prestigious lawyers in the US as well as accounting firms to maximize the result.

Passing the 51st bar exam in 2009, Sohn worked for a number of law firms HMP, Kim Chang Lee, DR&AJU. He is specialized in almost all areas from business advice and administrative litigation to labor, civil and criminal. He took part in the notorious management dispute of Hyosung and the ghost stock incident of Samsung Securities. He also is the one who for the first time won the pension claim case of a number of credit information companies.

Quite recently, he stood on behalf of the 541 members of the Korea Tattoo Federation to pay a visit together to the Constitutional Court of Korea with the issue of legalizing tattoo; South Korea is the sole country in the world where tattoo is illegal.

“South Korea and Japan shared the similar legal system including the medical law. Until now, the medical law in both countries saw tattoo as a medical activity and thus banned the practice of tattooing except the licensed medical staff. But Japan’s Constitutional Court ruling the practice of tattoo legal now has left South Korea as the sole country in the world where tattoo is still illegal” explains Sohn.

“I think a good lawyer is someone who takes the problem of his client as if it is his problem. This way, he can draw the best result possible and feel worth of what he’s doing” says Sohn.

Law firm Insight is as excellent in management as in dealing with each case. A decision is made through open communications and debate and it sometimes invites specialists in labor, accounting, patent and architecture depending on the case to draw the best possible solution.

Confident in what they are doing, lawyers at Insight do not waste their energy on bringing up marketing strategies of the company; instead, they focus the energy to every single case they take in charge.

“We lawyers at Insight see only one direction: the best solution and result to our clients who willingly put their cases on our hands. This is not possible without mutual trust and we will answer with our very best knowledge and experience. It is our goal to grow Insight as a legal companion for all small and medium companies who cannot afford huge amount of legal fees. And we are proud of it”
