(PowerKorea) A survey carried out for 27 paediatrics and adolescent doctors showed that 85.2% warned excessive prerequisite learning affects the health of babies and children negatively while 92.6% encouraged more than 1 hour of playtime for sound body and mind development. But how to play is as important as the act of play itself, industry experts say.

IKnowHow is a South Korean home-visit early childhood play and development company famous for scientific and customized play ideas and contents. The programs are designed to suit each of four level courses: 8 to 12 months of mind development, 13 to 24 months of sensory development, 25 to 36 months of thinking development and 37 to 48 months of creativity development.

Before starting the programs, a prior study and analysis is made for each baby to bring up the best play method and contents possible. Also provided to parents are early childhood development guidebooks alongside efficacy testing.

“It is necessary to pay attention to the things the baby likes and dislikes. This is very important because the customized play ideas and contents come from this observation and a little of bit of study. For this, IKnowHow uses scientific database to bring up ideas and contents customized to each baby who is only one and unique in the world. All ideas and contents are researched and developed by our in-house research team who also work in cooperation with industry specialists time to time” says Song Eun-ok, CEO of IKnowHow.

Song points out that the parents are the best playmates of the baby but they tend to sit on their hands and this is the reason that IKnowHow carries out efficacy testing for the parents to give synergy to the play.

“Play develops brain, body and mind of a baby and giving good and positive stimulations promotes better movement, thinking and expression of the baby. Above all, it gives psychological stability” adds Song.

IKnowHow has signed a number of Memorandum of Understanding with Meritz Fire Insurance, Mokpo Science College, Korea Health Sports Association, Global Art & Culture Education Institute, and Korea Scientists & Engineers Multi-Aid Association. Venture Enterprise and Women Enterprise certified, IKnowHow listed its name in the 2021 Korea Education Industrial Awards held by Herald Corporation and monthly PowerKorea.

PowerKorea is an official partner of Herald Corporation. The magazine is distributed to the KOTRA business centers in the world. PowerKorea publishes latest news of government, Samsung, Hyundai and LG and endeavors to serve a platform to engage with people around the world.
