A survey shows consumption of convenient food has increased sharply and chicken breast in particular by 176.5%.

Hadam Food is a South Korean food company specialized in chicken breast and beef jerky. Recently, the company has opened a new factory in Goesan County, North Chungcheong Province, to meet the increasing market demand. The factory is 2,000 square meters in size and a dormitory 330 square meters accompanied by a golf course for staff. This new factory is expected to produce 800,000 packs a year, a 50% increase and the capacity is expected to reach 1 million packs by 2021.

CEO Jin Won-yong said “It is meaningful that the factory is built on smart automation. I hope it will contribute to creating jobs in the region and to activation regional economy.”

Most famous for beef jerky, chicken breast jerky and smoked, Hadam Food has 20 years expertise in the field and is supplying to 50 partners through Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Sales of the company have been steadily increased by 50% yearly and COVID-19 hit this year is expected by 100%.

Gogodak

Apart from OEM, Hadam Food runs its own chicken brand Gogodak which is received as excellent in tender and smooth chewiness not to mention the taste. Chicken is 100% born and bred homeland and a single pack contains 19.5g protein which makes it sufficient before and after exercise as well as any kinds of cooking. The hard to swallowness of chicken breast is not experienced in Gogodak as it is made through a special massage during the tumbling and seasoning processes.

Jin says “A pack of Gogodak is highly sought after by dieters. I can confidently say it goes perfectly either as a snack or a meal. This is one of the reasons sales of our premium chicken grow fast.”

Apart from Gogodak, Hadam Food also runs smoked chicken breast, grilled chicken breast and original chicken breast to satisfy consumers with different tastes. Smoked gives a hint of oak tree, grilled of vivid color, and original of clean taste as chicken should be.

Jerky

Hadam Food’s jerky making goes through 7 steps: picking ingredients – slicing – salting – ripening – drying – weighing – packing. Beef jerky for example is only made with Korean or Aussie beefs of rump round which is the ideal part to make jerky. The meat is never ground but dried as rump to keep the juiciness. Drying process also is done by hanging with hands to keep the natural texture.

Jin says “I gather creative ideas from staff on a regular basis that can improve quality and productivity and reward them accordingly. This way I think we can work as a team and create synergy and keep our royal customers.”

Social contribution

In 2019, CEO Jin donated 1,600 packs of jerky to a provincial sports festival and received an appreciation plaque. As a man of good heart, he has served a number of leading roles at various organizations relating to trade, disabled, hometown alumni and Lions Clubs International.
