Wearing a mask is a must and a pair of gloves optional in this time of the virus invasion. Jeong Hyun-base, CEO of Samhwa Glove, however,  emphasizes that wearing gloves is not optional because the virus also transmits from hand to hand as much as mouth to mouth in public places. Thus introduced is Nova, the gloves made of copper ion fiber that kill 99.9% harmful germs.

Nova

Located in Jinju City, South Gyeongsang Province, Samhwa Glove is a South Korean gloves specialist famous for antibacterial gloves Nova. Inspired by the paper of University of Southampton UK published on mBio journal US in 2015 that virus dies within 30 minutes on the surface of copper, CEO Jeong launched a research and succeeded bringing Nova to the world after many failures.

"I also saw people use their elbow or a toothpick to press the number in the lift and I thought I could make something that can alter them. Because virus is everywhere and it breaks out anytime even after the COVID-19" says Jeong.

As Nova is antibacterial, there is less possibility that the gloves transmit the virus to others. In addition, Nova has excellent ventilation, cuts off electromagetic waves, is reusable, prevents statics, removes odors and is smart phone-touchable.

Nova 100 is the basic model and Nova 200 is designed for slip-resistant, Nova Kids for children and Nova 300 is soon to release. Nova has obtained a number of certificates including CE for its functionality. A FITI test showed that Nova killed 99.9% harmful germs. Nova is supplied to SK Hynics and exported to Europe and Japan through OEM at the moment.

"I recently have had a surge of orders from bus and taxi companies as well as big supermarkets. In fact, Nova has already been used in a number of public institutions including local governments and police stations. It is also encouraging that Nova is exported to the US and is used by nobles of the UAE."

CEO Jeong recently has signed export contracts with Hong Kong and Mongolia.
