Many sedentary workers complain about pains in muscles, spine, waist and neck. This is because they sit on a chair for most of the time of their duty. As there is a saying “easier said than done”, it is not easy for them to stand up every now and then to give a stretching due to the environment of their work. And these people are office workers, taxi drivers and people on the move in a car, train and airplane. The idea of Gongyumi, a South Korean ‘on-the-go body care services company’, started from this.

DUDU earns ‘the first’ in South Korea

Gongyumi introduced DUDU, the first mobile massage device installed on the back seat of a cab. Designed ergonomically, DUDU lets passenger nicely position her butts, waist and neck on the seat.

The air cushions on both sides of the back smoothly embrace the wide areas of the body for stable and quality massage. These twelve air cushions are ideally located in the device to hold each part of the body nicely and operate massage, tapping and pressuring to ease muscle tensions and fatigue.

How to use and the price?

You can use travel car, mobile coupon, smart QR and Samsung Pay. The price is 1,000 won for 5 minutes, 1,500 won for 15 mins and 2,000 won ($1.6) for 20 mins. Gongyumi signed business agreements with NHN, Navi Call and KST Mobility, the runner of Marcaron Taxi, for this easy payment system. Also, the company signed contracts with 22 taxi repair centers in Seoul for easy installation and after care services. The profits generated are shared 50:50 with the taxi driver.

Expanding services nationwide

Choi Young-hwan, CEO of Gongyumi, says “I’m ambitious to expand this excellent on-the-move massage service nationwide over Seoul and the capital areas. The business platform is excellent as the profits are shared equally and public recognition of taxi services will likely to rise to more agreeable level. The services are still in its infant but I will boldly draw investments when the number of taxis using DUDU reaches over 1,000.”
