The global spread of the COVID-19 is turning many businesses to online from offline. This is especially the case when it comes to education industry. Educational institutions, in fact, have already been running remote learning courses by using the most of advanced technologies and online platforms.

New Day English is a South Korean English education contents company specialized in video lessons. CEO Choi Yoon-suk targets busy workers and students with limited budget by offering 3 times less tuition fees than average 700,000 won ($575) one on one native video lessons.

Choi and a choice of highly experienced English teachers in the Philippines work closely together to make each video lesson as effective as face to face lesson with customized lesson plans and curriculums. A lesson lasts 50 minutes and teachers provide feedback on progress alongside subsequent measures to improve weakness.

Alongside general courses, New Day English runs TOEFL, TOEIC, TOEIC Speaking and IELTS courses with intensive speaking, writing, listening and reading programs.

"New Day English directly manages native teachers to keep consistency in quality of lessons. A teacher and a student is matched according to the purpose and level of the lesson after thorough analysis on the needs and wants of the student" says Choi.

Choi studied English in the Philippines for two years and deepened his knowledge and skills for one year in Australia. During these years, he built his own ideas and methods for video lessons.

Currently, he is working on development of new English education contents that can answer to the demand of fast changing English education market in South Korea.

"Securing experienced native teachers and continuous development of new teaching materials are very important in this age of high tech and social distancing. I will keep doing my most utmost effort to make contribution to advancement of digital education in South Korea with better, convenient and cost effective methods."
