Megazone Cloud is the biggest cloud management service provider in Asia. Established in South Korea in 1998, the company has grown with IDC (Internet Data Center) and hosting services. It succeeded signing a partnership with AWS (Amazon Web Services) in 2012 as the first Korean company and proved its capability by listing its name in Premier Consulting Partner of AWS in 2015. December 13, 2018, Megazone Cloud announced to have signed a strategic partnership with Viettel, the biggest multinational telecommunications company headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam. Megzone is determined to preoccupy this huge market with its differentiated cloud-based IT systems and management backed up by Viettel’s 30 years of knowhow and capabilities in the region.
The Law on Cyber Security, introduced January 2019 by the Vietnamese government, forces foreign companies to save the data within Vietnam. In other words, foreign companies are in need of help from local security, accounting and communications specialists.
The strategic partnership between Megazone Cloud and Viettel, in this respect, makes companies easy to save data in the Viettel’s Internet Data Center or the Megazone’s Hybrid Cloud Service on which they can manage the data wherever they are in the world. It is notable that the five of the Viettel’s Internet Data Center satisfy the Tier 3 of the US Telecommunications Industry Association.
Since opening the market in 1986, the Vietnamese government has made bold investment by using the most of its cheap labor. As a result, the country achieved 6.7% average yearly economic growth between the years 2016 and 2018. Many of renowned global businesses are already operating offices in Vietnam and many more are being followed suit.
As the biggest cloud management service provider in Asia, Megazone Cloud has provided B2B-based ICT services for the last 20 years. The prospected sales of 2019 is around 450 billion won ($386 million) and this even surprised the employees of Megazone Cloud themselves.
In recognition of its achievements and strong presence in the field, Megazone Cloud received a ministerial prize from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy at the Innovation Winner 2019 hosted by the Herald Group and managed by monthly <PowerKorea>.
“Megazone Cloud and Viettel will closely work together to expand digital transformation projects in the region and in the world. Also, we are determined to make contributions to widening global partnerships in the field of IT between the two countries” said Juwan Lee, CEO of Megazone Cloud.
