Hoengseong County in Gangwon Province is one of the cleanest areas in South Korea. Naturally, it is an ideal place to produce food. A South Korean food company Cheong A Good Food is located in this county. Under the motto ‘Safe and Fresh Food’, the company has the honor to be the first company to have entered the Gonggeun Agricultural Industrial Complex for using fresh local ingredients, proactive R&D for technology and products, and strictly hygienic production facilities. 

Cheong A Good Food is famous for salted seafood and side dishes. The products made by the companies are being exported to 40 countries in the world at the moment including the US, Japan, Europe and South East Asia. Some of the notable clients in South Korea alone are Dongwon F&C, Samsung Well Story and Icoop. Alongside salted seafood and side dishes, Cheong A Good Food is also producing cheese, rice noodle and lotus root chips. 

The company achieved the One Million Export Tower in 2011, 2.75 million in 2017, and is targeting 5 million this year. It was listed in the Small Giant Company of Korea and in the Global IP Star Company in 2018. The company obtained HACCP, SGS, EU Production and Processing License. 

All foods at Cheong A Good Food are produced under strict health and safety rules and all workers must wear hygienic robe, gloves and overshoes. The X-Rays installed in the facilities check all foreign bodies in the packages such as pieces of steel, glass and ceramic, etc, and all products go through bacteriological examinations. 

It is notable that the salted Pollack roe of Cheong A Good Food obtained the World Class Production of Korea among the total 876 exporting goods in 2019 including Samsung DRAM, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering LNG ships and Hyundai dedans. 

Taking the momentum, Jaeju Yoo, CEO of Cheong A Good Food, is expanding the product lines alongside more export channels at the moment with an ambition to take part in spreading K-Food in the world.
