Not many know that April 4 is Safety Checkup Day. But for those who work in the field, it is the day better noted as it refreshes their safety awareness. And the tougher Occupation Safety and Health Act, which comes in effect from the dawn of 2020, is expected to raise the overall awareness on safety in all workplaces in South Korea.
According to the International Labour Organization, average 151 workers have an accident in every 15 minutes, average 13 million safety accidents are reported yearly, and around 321,000 are injured or dead as a result. Keeping safety rules not only requires worker’s safety awareness but also appropriate safety equipment to wear in order to prevent any possible safety accidents beforehand.
Koreca is a Korean safety equipment company specialized in safety gloves. Since its establishment in 2003, the company has grown the business gradually and never experienced a decrease in sales. As a leading safety company in South Korea, Koreca is supplying a variety of topnotch safety equipment from safety gloves and masks to safety helmets and clothes.
A research tells us that nose and hand are the two most frequently injured parts of body when a safety accident occurs. Knowing this very well, Koreca CEO Sangyoon Lee focused on safety gloves more than any other safety equipment and has enjoyed remarkable success in the field.
Lee points out that we never know when safety accidents happen so we better get always ready before carrying out a work. “Ready” involves both safety awareness and putting on appropriate equipment if necessary.
