In the coming age of 4th industrial revolution, the qualities and capabilities of leaders are more important than ever. How the leader of a company or organization react to this rapidly changing society can affects significantly the crews of the boat. <Power Korea> looked into a newly rising leaders club which is making a noteworthy contribution to strengthening leaders qualities and capabilities in Korea.

Leaders Club CEO Course
Graduating from the Korea Air Force Academy, Park devoted his life to the army for 30 years and was discharged as a group captain in 2010. He took the president role of the alumni in which he initiated ’10,000 Won Charity Campaign’ for people in need in our society.

It was when he was served as the head of a company that he came to know about CEO courses. The courses gave him an insight about leadership and he deepened his thought about positive influence the leaders of society can give to the people. Forming his own ideas, he quit the CEO’s position in 2011 to establish Biznet & Art in February 2012 and launched Leaders Club CEO Course, a human resource network, in April the same year.

The course is for CEOs, board members, business owners, professionals such as doctors, lawyers, accountants, artists and reporters, high officials and leaders of organizations. The successful members must go through a screening and an interview to be eligible for a total of 12 sessions of the course.

Started in April 2012, each yearly course has been consisted of 100 members and taken place nationwide including Seoul, Gwangju, Busan and Jinju. ’10,000 Won Charity Campaign’ is also included in the course every year and the donations have gone to people in need from children to elderly as well as illness.

2030 Network Forum
If Leaders Club CEO Course is for senior leaders of our society, 2030 Network Forum is for young leaders. Park’s daughter Park Hyun-ji who co-founded Ventree Project, an event planner, is serving as the director of 2030 Network Forum. The 3 month course of the forum is consisted of a network class, practice class and charity event.

Those who have gone through the course are young leaders of various professions from Korean National Police University, renowned magicians in Asia, TV shows celebrities, team leaders of cosmetics companies, young lieutenants, artists, CEOs and lawyers.

The members of 2030 Network Forum are encouraged to exchange with the members of Leaders Club CEO Course for synergy effect. The director Park once took the podium of Leaders Club CEO Course to give a lecture under the theme ‘Global CEOs Whom I Met in New York’.

“A good leader is one who knows how to lead a company or an organization. A good leader also is one who has an eye to read the trend and can adapt oneself first” says Park (chairman of the board).
