Established as an architecture, interior and design company in 2009, Hanyang AID has made noteworthy recognition and contributions to the industries. CEO Han majored in architecture at Howon University and carried on his study to a master’s degree in architectural engineering at Yonsei University. 

He named the AID by borrowing the initials of architecture, interior and design. These three areas are closely related in terms of human, their habitats and the surrounding environments. In this respect, a good building must realize easy flow of movements, convenience of living and inviting ambience. Some say, for this reason, that architecture and interior are a ‘total art of practicality’.

The history of Hanyang AID goes back to 1989 where it opened its first door under the name ‘Hanyang Interior’.  Some of the top industry specialists of each field gather together under the leadership of CEO Han to create the most agreeable and appropriate building concepts and designs. 

“Communication is the key to creating the most agreeable and appropriate building concepts and designs. A space must satisfy the needs and wants of the people who actually use the place in terms of layout, convenience and ambience” says Han. 

Design-wise, Hanyang AID pursues the modern and sophisticated over the decorative and the eco-friendliness and materials over the cost-effective. Haus Edinburgh in Cheongdam-dong and the remodeling of a Korean house in Buckchon are two good examples of this. 

Apart from Hanyang AID, CEO Han is running Future Environment, a cleaning services company. The company is in charge of picking up the garbage and cleaning up the side streets of Nogyang-dong, Uijeongbu 1-dong and Uijeongbu 3-dong. To maintain high healthy and safety standards, all 44 staff of Future Environment must take safety training twice a month. Also, they are encouraged to join the get-together which takes place twice a year and prize money is given to those with excellent performance or retirees. It is noteworthy that CEO Han has personally donating a scholarship through the Uijeongbu Scholarship Foundation every year.
