The eco-friendly baby food company MammaYou won the 2018 Korea Culture Management Awards in the baby food category. MammaYou is the first company that introduced packaged food ingredients and recipes for moms to cook at home. So called ‘Meal Kit’ was released through its shopping mall at the dawn of 2013.

It took about 20 months for the couple CEOs Maeng Young-joo and Park Sang-hwa to launch the brand. Park says “We focused on nothing but only the eco-friendly and healthy ingredients.”

Meal Kit created a sensation among moms and MammaYou currently has 35,000 members as a result but the number goes to 93,000 when it comes to its blog site. In 2012, the company introduced recycled ice pack and PE foam for delivery and 15% of the members are joining the policy. It is regarded as the first system in its own terms. 

MammaYou also actively engages in various social contribution activities and in recognition received the 2016/2017 Korea Consumer Surprise Index two years in a row. In the year 2018, the company introduced 100 kinds of baby foods with different tastes and received positive response. Taking the momentum, MammaYou is planning to launch Meal Kit for adults this year. 

“We will keep continuing our beneficial lectures on baby food held in numerous cultural centers and never lose our intention of making only the healthy food” says CEO Park.
