In 1995, a guy called Jeff Bezos opened the world’s first online bookstore Amazon in Seattle, US. It changed the way people buy books from offline to online by a few clicks; the book was conveniently delivered at the door. The wave of surprise swept the whole nation and Amazon expanded services to CD, DVD, MP3, electric goods, clothes, furniture, food, toy and much more. People on earth in the year 2018 no longer use e-commerce platform like Amazon with surprise since it has become a habit.

“What made Bezos brilliant was that he was the guy who shifted the thousand years of our offline trading habit to online. It truly was an extraordinary event. 23 years past now and what we are doing here is to give consumers a new level of shopping experience. If Bezos opened the era of e-commerce, we are trying to open the era of VR/AR e-commerce. And we think now is the right time” says Kim Min-joong, CEO of VRISM.

The VRISM’s 3D hologram, interactive 3D viewer and transparent display contents provide realistic yet futuristic experience of seeing an object as if it is floating in the air or we are watching it right in front of us online or we can touch and turn it around with our fingertip on a glass.

Let’s say we want to buy a pair of shoes online. Instead of 2D images of the shoes, VRISM lets us to watch every single detail of them like we are actually checking them at an offline store. So real is the imaging that we can’t help but feeling amazed at this cutting edge tech proudly presented by this Korean startup.

Kim majored in architectural engineering at Yonsei University, took a master’s degree in industrial design at KAIST and built 10 years of experience in contents design and production. He obtained patents for AR contents services and online 2D/3D imaging which are well melted into the VRISIM’s growth brain.

Recognizing the VRISM’S advanced tech that answers to a new market demand, FILA Korea has ordered more than 50 products already and GOLDEN GOOSE is streaming order requests. The ordered product goes through scanning – data processing – 3D graphic – customized contents which normally take 3 to 4 hours.

VRISM’s 3D imaging services can be applied to almost all products from shoes and clothes to figures, baby goods, furniture, electric goods, industrial equipment and cultural assets, you name it. It is not only providing a realistic buying experience to consumers but also the confidence in decision making.

“In fact, we are drawing a bigger picture: the picture of a new VR/AR e-commerce platform over just providing 3D product imaging services. We are sure to say that the current online shopping platforms are evolving into upgraded user experience and VRISM will boldly march forward along this new flow.”

VRISM stands for ‘virtual realism’ and ‘prism’ to mean a magical display of contents.
