What makes Jackfit different from its rivals is at its services: personal training, diet food café and pet café. What makes Jackfit even wow is that it combined personal training with pilates which normally did not go together in other places.
Nam Joong-won, CEO of Jackfit, majored in physical education at Chung-Ang University. He got his first job at a fitness club in Gangnam, Seoul which was famous for introducing equipment-based pilates. He then went to Australia and worked as a plates trainer and a personal trainer. Back in Korea, he used most of his experience in Australia and launched Jackfit.
Pilates is a physical fitness that uses elasticity while weight training uses weight resistance. He mixed elements of these two effectively and drew a positive response. He belongs to the first generation pilates instructors in Korea and the fourth male instructor in the field.
Jackfit is unique in terms of Nam’s pilates-PT instruction, diet food café and pet café in one place. He has a petsitter certification and an aroma instructor’s certification and is currently taking a MBA at Korea University to enhance his business capability.
Apart from managing Jackfit, he is running an instructor’s course and a startup course for those who wish to join the wagon of Jackfit or start their own business. The intensive CEO pilates course, on the other hand, is ideally designed for the current pilates instructors or physical education majors to maximize their knowledge and ability in the field and business.
“Exercise is very important to keep our health and vitality. In addition to the training system I have built, I’m planning to apply AI elements to the curriculum in near future” says Nam.
