Marvel Square is a brand new loaf bread specialist who takes healthiness as top priority. Naturally, the bread does not contain any chemical substance. But what makes it a rising star in the bread industry is that the founder Kim Dae-up sees loaf bread as a main dish over a time to time snack which Kim calls it ‘marvelous square’ thus Marvel Square.

Give it a bite you will feel instantly the smooth and moisturized touch leaving a sense of chewiness afterwards, venting out “Wow, is this really loaf bread?” Imagine like you have a just boiled-cooked chicken leg and strip it apart a piece with your hands bit by bit. That will give you an idea.

Kim adopted the bread making methods used at Nogami restaurant and at Centre De Bakery in Japan which have captivated the heart of many bread lovers globally. He also collaborated with a graduate of the best bakery school in Japan for research and development of new methods. 

One biggest character of Marvel Square is that it contains no egg. “I’m not against egg but it must have contained a chemical substance or two during the farming and distribution process. I wanted to be absolutely clear that Marvel Square does not contain any of that at all and it is also good for those who have allergy to egg. Interestingly, this made our bread rather more unique in taste.”

Marvel Square is solider and densitier than its counterparts and 2 or 3 times heavier: 600g against 120~240g. Kim also developed his own flour for the bread and added honey to enliven sweetness. This means that you can enjoy Marvel Square without any accompaniment. 

The bread goes through a 7 to 24 hour ripening after baking in order to maintain the smooth and moisturized feel and a chewy end. Each pack of bread comes with manual on how to enjoy and keep for added fun and guide. 

Pick a choice of bread according to your taste from plain and blueberry to cheddar cheese, French brain bean and reinterpretation of Busan seed pancake. 

Where to find one? You can find a store in Daejeon (flagship), Busan, Ulsan, Jeonju, Daegu and Cheongju. For those who wish to join the wagon, Marvel Square supports 1) on-site training 2) novice-friendly and small capital-friendly 3) marketing burden-free management. 

“I’m a bit ambitious to grow the business overseas while expanding stores in Korea at the same time. I just want to dream big so that I can drive the wagon with a big picture from this development stage. This way I can prepare things more efficiently and in advance. Who knows Marvel Square becomes another name for loaf bread in the world one day.” 

Recently, Kim signed a distribution contract with Hyundai Green Food System.
