¡ã Monk Daejeon of Daebo Green Food

Salt is a main supply of mineral. Salt, oxygen and water maintain the life and promote metabolism. But for some health enthusiasts, what kind of salt to take is very important. In this respect, you might want to pay attention to Daebo Green Food.

The CEO monk Daejeon says “Bbongsogeum (mulberry salt) has long been enjoyed by monks at temples and I came to know about the salt and learned the making technique from the chief monk who used mulberry, kelp and shiitake to make Bbongsogeum.”

However, it wasn’t his intention to make the salt to sell but to share it with the Buddhist believers. 10 years passed and the excellent taste and healthiness of the salt started to spread from mouth to mouth among the believers to normal people. Today, Bbongsogeum has become one of the representative local specialties in Sancheong County.

“The most important ingredients of Bbongsogeum are salt and water. I only use the fresh water in Jirisan Mountain and the mulberry trees growing in the same mountain. Then I add some shitake mushroom, kelp, salicomia herbacea and lotus leaf and boil for 24 hours. It then goes to 4 to 5 hours of roasting to finish the whole process.”

Bbongsogeum is a really good accompaniment to many foods but it can also be used to brush your teeth or massage the skin. It contains strictly no additives and colorings but has only the natural ingredients processed in natural ways to be a product. It contains rich mineral and the total 16 stages of the handmade processes remove any impurities it might contain.

Bbongsogeum is known to be good for preventing diseases and improving the symptoms of diabetes, high blood pressure and atopy. Apart from Bbongsogeum, you can also buy a product made of 6 year old balloon flower or some medicinal herbs by the monk Daejoen in a number of stores in the county.
