From welfare and scholarship to day care center
The IBK Happy Sharing Foundation set sail in March 2006 to promote welfare of employees of Korean SMEs. The foundation has poured 30 billion won for welfare of 137,076 employees of SMEs for the last 12 years and donated 910 million won to families of 2,094 employees who suffered from illness but could not afford medical expenses. The foundation supported 1 billion won for 3,857 students in financial difficulty through the IBK Youth Hope Mentoring and opened a day care center for employees of the Namdong Industrial Complex Incheon with the full support of operation costs; the foundation also gave out 10.7 billion won for academic researches of SME employees and families as well as underprivileged people. In recognition, the IBK Happy Sharing Foundation received the 2nd KBIZ Awards for SME Heroes from the KBIZ and the KBIZ Love Sharing Foundation in addition to a presidential citation in 2015 and a ministerial citation from the Small and Medium Business Administration in 2017. If you wish to take part in this goodwill and action, you can do so and all the details of the donations are managed transparently and opened to the public. An official of the IBK Happy Sharing Foundation said “We feel really thankful to receive the 2nd KBIZ Awards for SME Heroes. We will continue our zeal in creating a better society and more funds for small and medium businesses in Korea.”
