Prayer for strong economy and evangelical Korea
The 11th Korean War Reminding National Salvation Prayer was held at the Korea Christianity Centennial Hall on June 25. The Women’s Headquarters of Evangelization Movement (the Headquarters) hosted the prayer and a number of renowned leaders of Korean Christian organizations such as pastors Lee Tae-hee, Yoo Soon-im and Woo Jung-eun attended on the day. They prayed for peace of the Korean Peninsula and revival of the Korean Christianity. The Headquarters works under the motto ‘One People, Strong Economy, Evangelical Korea’, and the prayer this year was much encouraged by the recent Inter-Korean Summit and the North Korea-United States Summit. Apart from the prayer for the national salvation, the Headquarters holds a number of other big prayers for national security, August 15th Liberation Day,fasting of couple believers, and the North America regional gatherings.

Interview with pastor Woo Jung-eun
Q. Please tell me about the 11th Korean War Reminding National Salvation Prayer.
A. I felt overwhelmed when pledging allegiance to the nation. How many times do we have an occasion to sing the national anthem? I just feel thankful for the two of the successful summits and I believe the God in Heaven answered to our prayer. We also held successfully the PyeongChang 2018 and I have this feeling that the year 2018 will be a milestone for us to push forward harder the evangelization of the Korean Christianity.

Q. What have your harvested so far?
A. The Headquarters boasts 40 years of its devotion to spreading teachings of the Bible. Our Great Assembly not only calls the 80 million people of Korea but also the Koreans living abroad. We have our vision led by the God in Heaven and are determined to do our best to repent our sins and recover the trust of the Korean Christianity.

Q. What is your future plan?
A. We are holding the Great Assembly this July by calling the 80 million people of Korea accompanied by simultaneous individual prayers of each church nationwide for two purposes: evangelization of Korean Christianity and reform. The Headquarters wishes to take a greater part in this and we will draw a substantial change.
