From funeral services and beyond
The funeral services company Chamdayea was born by CEO Kim who merged 7 of poorly managed companies into one single professional services platform in 2013. What made Kim well presented in the industry was that he paid the cancellation fee to all existing clients of the merged (bankrupted) companies which was legally unnecessary in Korea. “Giving priority to clients comes first even if it brings financial loss to the company because it is my unchanged principal” says Kim. Having said that Kim actually lost a considerable part of the assets yet he was never affected which is highly praiseworthy. Gathering his strength one more time, he not only put the business back on the track but also expanded the scope to wedding, cruise and even stem cell businesses over funeral. “Koreans have had the virtue called ‘mutual aid’ for hundreds of years. They willingly provided a helping hand anytime a neighbor was in need. The idea of Chamdayea actually started from this virtue and that’s why we pour utmost care and sincere heart into especially the funeral services of one’s beloved during 2 days and 3 nights not to mention unlimited bus mileage, funeral attires and transparent and rational price of urnterment. Helpers are also keeping the place 10 hours every day during the services to be called immediately.” Chamdayea also shines when it comes to cruise as there is no hidden fee at all and which was the driving force to have it sailed off 8 times for the last 3 years. In addition, a photo and a video album are provided for free at the end of the itinerant. As for the stem cell business, Chamdayea launched a stem cell bio bank 3 years ago. “Stem cell can recover lost functions of the body and the cultivated immunity cell can be used to cure cancer and diabetes patients. I think stem cell is a must to realize the age of homo-hundred. So, we are exerting a greater part of our strength in R&D.” Chamdayea started its business as a local company in North Jeolla Province but is now boasting nationwide members of the services over the province. “Under the slogan ‘excellent customers services’ all the staff and specialists at Chamdayea are doing our very best.”
