¡ã Kim Tae-san, CEO of Quirinale |
Quirinale pension is located at the mouth of a trail in Chiaksan National Park, Wonju, Gwangwon Province. “Chiak Mountain boasts fantastic landscape throughout the year. From splendid colors of flowers in the spring to thick forests in the summer to burning maple leaves in the fall and snow-capped trees in the winter” says Quirinale CEO Kim Tae-san. It takes around 1 hour by car to reach to the pension from Gangnam District, Seoul. It is built on a 350 meter above the sea level surrounded by phytoncide forests so that you can have a bird eye view on the mountain. Kim used to work for a big company in Seoul but fell in love with the mountain after climbing. “It gave me a time to relax and I was charmed by its beauty. I then thought about my life and decided to run a pension here to lead the rest of my life in nature instead of in the buy city” says Kim. While relaxing at Quirinale, it might be a good idea to have a look around the nearby attractions: the suspended bridge in Sogeum Mountain and Ipsuk Temple founded by monk Wonhyo or the Oak Valley and the rail bike. If you are in-door type however, you can enjoy Hoengseong beef at its 330 square meter big barbeque area alongside wine or swimming at a large pool. A phytoncide spa also is installed in each room for you to detox your fatigue of the journey. If you are a group of people, Quirinale offers you a large seminar room that can accommodate up to 120 people. The seminar room is equipped with a large screen and a beam project. The rooms at Quirinale can accommodate up to 70 guests in total and the garden is often used for a wedding ceremony. If you are interested, a picture is worth a thousand words.
