Guri NongHyup’s president Kim Yong-ho and the staff rolled up their sleeves to help the damaged local fruit farmhouses in cooperation with 100 members of local agricultural organizations. There are 70 fruit farmhouses in Guri and many of them have recently been damaged by the severe temperature difference and the unusual cold weather. Only 17 of them have insurance but the rest have no way to make up for the damages. The helpers carried on artificial pollination on April 17th to minimize the damages. An owner of a damaged farmhouse pointed out that Namyangju City released KRW 100 million won emergency aid for the same damages so Guri City must take a bold action also.
