DHK Korea is established by Ko Do-hyoung, CEO of AB, a beauty product company famous for Silveray. Silveray is a portable moisture mist made of 99.99% net-type silver foams. Launching DHK Korea is Ko’s move for a bigger vision and goal and it recently introduced ‘Smile Life’, a consumer-centered distribution platform. “It is not new to say that many SMEs are suffering from inefficient manufacturing and distribution systems. Introducing the new consumer-centered distribution platform ‘Smile Life’, therefore, is my move to bring a better and more effective distribution system for SMEs” explains Ko. He continues “A product is just a product when made at a factory. But it becomes a ‘value’ when picked up by a consumer. My idea is to turn these products to values. In other words, I will find excellent products of SMEs to give values through the new platform. I can say it is a win-win platform.” Smile Life finds and sells products loaded with high tech and excellent quality competitiveness but do not have any channels to distribute. From eco-friendly and organic products to cosmetics and children supplies, Smile Life will cover as many excellent SME products as possible. The difference between Smile Life and the existing OEM system is that the former sells the brands as they are to make their presence strong in the market. An Gyo-fwan, President of DHK Korea, points out quality, service and price as the three core values of Smile Life that can compete with other platforms. An says that it is a platform of communication between manufacturers and consumers. In other words, each company can sell and promote their brands within the platform of Smile Life. To push forward this innovative platform, DHK Korea is planning to partner with local governments and to secure a 991 square meter big store in China. Overseas business division director Lee Dong-hee says “With Smile Life, you don’t need to worry about your unsold products in China. You can just send limited amounts of products to Smile Life and can minimize other risk factors.” DHK Korea also supports fund and product development as well as administration services necessary for the distribution and selling products overseas. Ko says “We are confident in our technology and potential of DHK Korea and we will build a great export channel for SME to enter global market.” Kim Dong-hak, CEO of an online shopping mall in China says “Quality product at competitive price is the motto you need to have when it comes to Chinese market. So, we are expecting to supply quality Korean SME products to Chinese market through Smile Life.” Jeong Sang-sun, President of the Federation of Korean Enterprise Associations says “We are sure that DHK Korea will play a great role to promote excellent SME products to global market over Korea. We will use the most of the local infrastructure we built in China to secure channels to create synergy effect.” If you are a CEO of SME, you are highly advised to knock on the doors of DHK Korea.
