Moon has a summit with Kiska
President Moon had a summit with Andrei Kiska, President of Slovakia, at the Blue House on April 10. The two leaders discussed on economic and international cooperation. Moon congratulated the 25th anniversary of Slovakia’s independence coincided with the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Slovakia this year. Moon praised the Kiska’s policy on people’s rights and welfare and compared it with his people first and people owned government policies. Moon valued highly of the 160 times increase of the trade volume between the two countries during the last 25 years and suggested more diversified trade in the future. Kiska congratulated the successful PyeongChang 2018 and praised the Korean companies contributing to the development of Slovakian economy. Among the non-EU countries, South Korea is the No.1 direct investor to Slovakia taking 50% of the whole direct investments. Kiska also showed an interest in Korea’s education, startup policies and the Presidential Committee for the 4th Industrial Revolution that might be worth benchmarking. 

Moon receives Schwab
President Moon received Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, on April 11 at the Blue House. They discussed on the 4th Industrial Revolution and improvement of the inter-Korean relations. Schwab is the founder of the forum and his book <The Fourth Industrial Revolution> has been sold 1 million copies worldwide. The forum holds a meeting every year at Davos, Switzerland, thus called ‘Davos Forum’. Moon said “The people-centered 4th Industrial Revolution is one of the many goals of my administration and I kindly ask you an advice.” Schwab in respond said “I give my complete support to the recent dialogues between the South and the North first. Switzerland and North Korea has a special tie and I think the former has made a contribution to creating the atmosphere. I have will to work alongside Switzerland and can be of help to the dialogues between the two parties.”
