“24 Hour Byeongcheon Korean Sausage rises as a hot restaurant in Cheonan”

Cheonan probably reminds you of three things: hodugwaja (small walnut-flavored cake), Cheonan Tourist Resort and Byeongcheon Korean sausage. Recently, a TV show introduced the local cuisine and as a result Byeongcheon Korean sausage is rising as a must-try local cuisine among gourmets. In the 60s, a ham factory was built in Byeongcheon-myeon and the sausage spread rapidly as a popular market food. If ‘abai sundae (sausage)’ uses large intestines, Byeongcheon sundae uses small ones tucked up with sticky rice, perilla seeds, onion, spring onion, cabbage, glass noodles and clotted blood. “Korean sausage soup is one of the most common foods which people can enjoy at a relatively cheap price. What sets Byeongcheon sundae apart from others, however, is at the facts that it has no unique smell but has tender texture and clean broth” says Seo. It was 2 years ago that 24 Hour Byeongcheon Korean Sausage & Jinseongsuk Galbi moved to the current spot near Cheonan Tourist Resort from Byeongcheon Sundae Street. The restaurant can accommodate 30 cars to park and the hall is big enough to digest a number of group dinners. Seo offers pick-up services for a group of more than 10 people and delivery services for orders above 50,000 won. The media praised the restaurant for consistency in taste and not using any artificial flavor enhancers. “The chefs at 24 Hour Byeongcheon Korean Sausage & Jinseongsuk Galbi have more than 20 years of experience in the field. All dishes are prepared by hands in strictly traditional way including the side dishes.” It is notable that the chefs use pork slices instead of leftovers to realize the flavor and only the bloodless bones to make the clean broth. As if to prove it, the regulars who have enjoyed the food for a long time voice together that the taste has never once been changed. For those who wish to try different menu instead of sundae, the chefs offer ‘stone pork rib’ which you can literally enjoy pork rib on a hot stone. “We will keep doing our best to keep the very traditional taste and excellent customer services.” If you happen to have a chance to visit Cheonan, you had better not miss the opportunity to try this ultimate local cuisine.
