The power trip (abuse of one’s power) issue has long been a social problem regardless social groups and ages in Korea. A survey says that 89.1% experienced power trip from their senior workers and 59.7% have once thought quitting the job of which 33.7% actually did. “The Korean society has this vertical relationship between people for a long time and it’s not easy to change this bad practice in a short period of time. My job as the CEO of Soo Consulting is to arouse the seriousness of power trip in organizations” says Ha. She continues “It is also important for them to find ways to release their stress accumulated during the work as more than 80% answered that the stress affects their work performance.” Also included in her programs is ‘Gray Party’ designed for seniors. “There is difference between juniors and seniors in this age of homo-hundred where the age 65 is no longer considered old. The idea of ‘Gray Party’ is to help them restart their second phase of life through various social-participatory programs and activities. This is very important as things are changing really fast nowadays and they had better adapt to this change especially in this ever advancing electronic-centered society.” Meanwhile, Ha is pouring her an effort in fostering young talents in the field and is planning to open an academy in order to train them in a more systematic way in near future.
