글로벌 전북 자동차산업의 새 지평을 연다
자동차융합기술원은 지난 달 19일 창립 15주년을 맞아 송하진 도지사를 비롯하여 전라북도의회, 시․군, 대학, 유관기관, 자동차․뿌리기업 등 산학연관 관계자 250여명이 참석한 가운데 융합의 새 시대를 열어 한 단계 더 도약할 것을 선포했다. 이날 기념식에서 자동차융합기술원은 “글로벌 자동차산업의 새 지평을 열겠다”는 ‘JIAT 비전 2025‘를 선언하고 전북 자동차산업을 월드클래스 수준으로 도약시키겠다는 포부를 밝히며, 새만금 기반의 미래 자동차 글로벌 전진기지 조성을 통한 양질의 일자리 창출과 사회적 책임 완수, 상용화 융합기술 확보를 통한 월드클래스 부품기업 육성, 산업-기술-제품-기업-사람 간 융합으로 산업환경 변화를 주도하는 전북형 자동차 산업생태계 활성화, 창의적 연구역량과 협업 강화를 통한 글로벌 시험평가 인증기관 도약 등 4대 목표를 제시하였다. 이를 통해 현재 400여개인 도내 자동차부품 기업을 2025년까지 글로벌 부품기업 100개사, 특장기업 150개사를 포함하여 600개사까지 늘리고, 뿌리기업은 수출기업 50개사를 포함한 500개사로 늘려 양질의 새로운 일자리를 2만개 창출하겠다는 전북 자동차산업의 미래상을 함께 제시하였다. 송하진 도지사는 “자동차융합기술원을 비롯한 자동차․뿌리기업, 대학 등 산학연관의 유기적인 협업이 있었기에 자동차산업이 전북의 주력산업으로 자리매김 할 수 있었다”며 그 간의 노고를 치하하였으며, 앞으로 협업을 넘어 새로운 융합을 통해 미래형 자동차산업 진입에 힘써줄 것을 당부하였다. 

전라북도, 생산 만감류 설맞이 공동판매 추진
전라북도에서 만감류를 생산하는 농가들의 모임인 ‘전라북도만감류연구회’는 다가오는 설 명절을 맞아 다양한 만감류를 공동판매하기로 하고 홍보를 위해 지난 22일 도청에서 송하진 지사가 참여한 가운데 시식행사를 열었다. 전북지역의 만감류 재배는 기후온난화에 따라 새롭게 재배를 시도하는 한라봉, 레드향, 천혜향 등 아열대 작물로 약 40여 농가가 소규모로 재배하고 있다. 아직은 걸음마 단계로 연구회 활동을 통하여 서로 간 기술과 경험을 나누고 있으며, 약 130톤의 만감류를 생산하고 있으나 우수한 품질에도 불구하고 판로에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 농업기술원은 연구회와 뜻을 합쳐 전북도청의 공직자들을 대상으로 『이제 감귤도 전라북도 시대!』임을 알리는 홍보물을 제작 배부하는 등 전라북도 생산 감귤의 우수한 맛을 알리기 위한 시식행사를 갖게 되었다. 만감류는 감귤에 비해 늦게 수확한다는 뜻에서 만감으로 불리며 나무에서 완전히 익은 후에 수확하는 과실이다. 일찍 수확하거나 유통기간이 길어질 경우 고유의 맛을 내지 못하고 품질이 떨어지게 된다. 따라서 전북에서 생산되는 만감류는 고향 텃밭에서 생산되는 까닭에 나무에서 충분한 숙성을 거친 후에 수확하고 유통과정 또한 크게 줄일 수 있어 신선한 본연의 맛을 느낄 수 있는 등 타 지역 생산물에 비해 매우 유리하다. 이번 설 명절 공동판매는 올해 생산예정인 130여 톤 중에서 당도 13브릭스 이상의 상품과실을 회원농가들이 공동 선별하여 공동으로 주문 판매할 예정이다. 시식행사에서 송하진 지사는 “감귤하면 제주도였는데 이제는 텃밭 전북에서 생산한 맛있는 감귤을 먹는 시대가 왔다”면서 “만감류가 우리 도 농가의 새로운 소득원으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 많이 애용해 주시길 도민여러분께 당부 드린다”고 밝혔다.

Jeollabuk-do opens a new chapter for car industry
Jeonbuk Institute of Automobile Convergence Technology invited 250 government and industry officials to announce the JIAT Vision 2025 which will open a new chapter for car industry in the province. The event was held on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of establishing the institute on 19 last month. The institute is determined to raise the level of car industry in the province to a world class based on the vision. For this, the institute and the province are pushing forward creating a new global future car advanced base that covers from car parts to complete production. There are about 400 car parts businesses operating in the province and the institute and the province are ambitious to increase the number of global car parts companies to 600 and the root industry companies to 500 by 2025. The vision is expected to create approximately 20,000 new jobs. The governor Song Ha-jin said “The organic cooperation between the institute, industry and universities has made it possible that the province’s car industry to grow. I hope we all keep working together to draw the results we are all looking forward to.”

Jeollabuk-do promotes tangerine
Jeollabukdo Tangerine Research Group invited the governor Song Ha-jin to tangerine tasting event held at the provincial office building on 22 last month in order to promote the fruit. Around 40 households are farming the fruit which normally grow on Jeju Island but the steady rise of temperature pushed the ideal cultivation zone as far as to North Jeolla Province. The 40 households are producing yearly 130 tons but they are facing difficulty in finding distribution channels despite its excellent taste. The tangerine tasting event was held as the initiation of the marketing and the province has already published leaflets for local public servants to be aware that tangerine can now be cultivated in the region. The tangerine cultivated in the province is called ‘mangamryu’ meaning that the fruits are fully ripened on the trees before picked. The 40 households are releasing ‘mangamryu’ with more than 13 brix (sugar content) on the market to take the best seats at the shopping spree during the Korean New Year holiday period this month. The governor Song said “Back then, tangerine was Jeju and Jeju was Tangerine. Now the fruit can also be grown in North Jeolla Province and I hope the fruit will bring additional income to the farmers in the region.”
