“Let’s Pizza!”

P&Food System first introduced ‘Let’s Pizza’ at the Seoul Food 2016 held at KINTEX. If you choose the menu and pay, the vending machine kneads dough, adds toppings and let the pizza out within 3 minutes. The machine is Italian made and P&Food System is the Korean importer and distributor. You might probably have seen it at many resting areas on highways and resorts. Approximately 100 pizzas are sold daily according to CEO Seo who says “The difference of the pizza vending machine from others is that people can see the making process from kneading to ovening through the transparent window.” All ingredients are HACCP approved and each pizza is vacuum-packed. The machine is innovatively designed for owners to check up the status as well as sales analysis on their smartphone and the transactions can be made in cash or by card. CEO Seo happened to know about the pizza vending machine while traveling Italy. She visited the head office in Italy and signed a contract. Back in Korea, she introduced Korean-style pizzas alongside original Italian pizzas to the menu and priced each pizza around 6,000 to 8,000 won (around USD$6.49). “Because it’s vending machine, you don’t need to worry about a lot of initial investment often required when running a chain store and management also is easy.” To business partners, P&Food offers 1 year free after care services. As for the future plan, CEO Seo is working on introducing more menus such as pasta and bakery and she is ambitious to lead the food vending machine business in Korea.
