“Build your body and health at Master Gym
Jang Bo-geun, CEO of Master Gym and Master Kitchen

If you are living in Suncheon City and interested in fitness, you are highly advised to pay a visit to the 991 square meter big ‘Master Gym’ located in Seokhyunbok-gil. From wu shu and kick boxing to diet and national exams, Master Gym provides ultimate training according to your need. CEO Jang Bo-geun of Master Gym also is a coach of the Jeolla Wu Shu Team and the manager of the Suncheon Sport for All and Wu Shu Association and the International Kick Boxing Suncheon. “I recently invested 296,000 USD in accommodating the best facilities so that the trainees of Master Gym can benefit the most and improve their skills and health” says Jang. Most of the trainees, however, are students of Sunchon National University where Jang graduated. “I have witnessed for many years the poor environment of wu shu players. Literally, they didn’t have any place for practice. And this actually made me decide to do something and I borrowed 44,888 USD to secure a place even though it was in a remote place.” But Jang endured many hardships with his ‘I can do it spirit’ and the endurance finally paid back. “I feel proud that I didn’t start the business to make profits but purely to help students and people in the same need and want like me. Thankfully, the business goes well anyway.” Jang asked advice from professors to build systematic exercise methods and also paid a greater focus on effective management of the members. It is worth mentioning that one member lost 30kg in 3 months after going through an effective course of Master Gym and the news spread from mouth to mouth which eventually drew a steady number of members. The success also was resulted in the current location with 991 square meter big size. Meanwhile, Jang has donated the total of 8,976 USD to Sunchon National University for the last 4 years alongside a support for launching the wu shu team of the university. Interesting to say but Jang recently launched Master Kitchen, a fusion restaurant, to prove his cooking skill and business acumen. Located right in front of the university, Master Kitchen boasts modern interior and quality food provided at rational price. “I and my friend with years of experience in the field gathered strength to open Master Kitchen and we will challenge for another big success in cooperation”
